Hi friends,
The heavenly pilgrimage begins in earnest the very day a
believer encounters Jesus at the cross. Many supposed Christians either have
refused to visit the cross of Jesus or only fainted at the cross to continue
with their old life.
II Corinthians 5:17 says,
Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old
things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new.
The encounter at the cross makes the old adamic nature which is
an enemy of the new way of Christ to die permanently. It makes the Christian
pilgrim drop the yoke of sin and self as they pick up the yoke of Christ which
is light and easy.
The newness encountered at the cross makes the reality of
heaven and a closer walk with Jesus a realistic and pleasurable one. It makes the
personality of the trinity a reality to the human soul.
This was the encounter that our beloved Apostle Paul had and it
made him become one of the greatest apostles even though he was the least of the
apostles or better still not an apostle at all by human rating.
The journey to our eternal abode becomes a seamless one when
the reality of the Godhead is visualized in the human soul and this pilgrimage
becomes a pleasurable one.
Little wonder, the scripture says, eyes have not seen nor ears heard neither has the human mind perceived
what God has in stock for those who love him.
This divine encounter makes the believer to know Jesus and the
more of Jesus a believer knows, the more he falls in love with Him and the more
of God’s ways he is able to embrace. He is helped to worship God is spirit and
truth.
The value system, the life style, speech and ambition of the believer
receives a turn around when the life of Christ is made manifest at the foot of
the cross. Burdens are lifted. Divine help for the pilgrimage is accessed only at
the foot of the cross.
The resurrection power is made available when a pilgrim encounters Christ at the cross. The desired life of miracles, signs and wonders is made accessible and the believer begins to live the supernatural life heaven intends for him.
If you are yet to
die with Christ at the cross and still wants to enjoy glory with Him, that is impossible. Why, don’t you go back to Calvary where it all began so you can
know this Lord of the way in the fullness of His glory.
May the good Lord keep you and bless you, may He cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace until we meet at the eternal shores!
Your friend and
fellow Pilgrim in the Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet
