Call upon me.

Hi friends,

As the year is fast coming to an end and a new year is fast approaching, I don’t know how this ending year has been to you but I want to remind you that there is a God in Heaven who has all the power and the ability to keep and uphold His pilgrims till the very end.

 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the second

time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, to

 establish it; the Lord is his name; Call unto me, and I will answer

thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.                                                                                        Jeremiah 33:1-3(KJV)

The scripture above records the account of the renowned Prophet Jeremiah who in the process of doing his ministerial assignment landed in big trouble that even led to his imprisonment.

While he was shut up in the prison, the word of Lord came to him. The Almighty God took His time to introduce Himself afresh and the wonders of His power before he told him to call on Him.

Do you know that sometimes the only way God can get our attention is to allow us run into trouble? Do you know that it does not matter the kind of imprisonment you have found yourself, God has the ability to deliver you?

If He can deliver Jeremiah who was operating under the law at that point in time, tell me how He will not deliver you. If He could deliver Paul and Silas, why not you my dear friend? If He could change the history of Jabez, why would you be an exception?

If He could heal the leper, raised the dead, deliver from failure and poverty like in the case of Peter, tell me why He would not do same or even much more for you since He is not a respecter of persons.

If He could turn the barrenness of a ninety year old woman to testimony of fruitfulness, tell why will he not turn yours around. If he could raise the dead decaying and stinking Lazarus back to life after four days of demise, why would your own case be impossible?

All that the creator of the Heavens and the earth is requiring of you is that you call upon Him. All He requires from you is a little more fervency. All He is after is that you call upon Him in Spirit and in truth.

He alone has the power and the ability to still your storms, raise you up from that dead situation, bring you out of that captivity, heal you from that seemingly incurable sickness, turn your mourning to dancing and lift up your sorrows.

He is assuring you and I that as we negotiate the bend of a new year to look at Him the rock from which we were hewn. He is calling and willing to display His awesome power through your life and mine, if only we will pray a little more.

Beloved Pilgrim, our only resort at a time like this is nothing but fervent and relentless prayers. He knows the ups and the downs of the way. He knows the nooks and the crannies. He sees the valleys and knows the mountain.

He will take every one of us to the mountain top. HE IS THE LORD OF THE WAY.
