Hi friends,
Beloved, today I would like to
remind us that more often than not too many of us as pilgrims have become so
much of pleasure seekers and chasers than Kingdom seekers or God chasers.
If what is at stake does not give
us an immediate benefit or pleasure or even monetary returns no matter how good
or scriptural it is we cannot venture into it.
We forget the word of God that
cautions us against the broad and pleasure filled way that leads to
condemnation.
Matt 7:14-15 says something very
crucial that I will like to bring to our attention as pilgrims and sojourner.
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the
way,
which
leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.( KJV)
The way to eternal life with the
Lord Jesus Christ is so narrow and rough that we cannot but walk circumspectly
if we must attain. The truth about the Christian life is that not everyone gets
to discover the truth of it.
If you are able to discover the way
of the truth and salvation, and empowered by Jesus Christ Himself to walk in it
through a daily and consistent walk with His Holy Spirit. You are privileged!
The want for pleasure and material
acquisition is the number one enemy of man to a glorious eternity with the Lord
Jesus Christ.
Your way might be rough and thorny
but listen to me, it cannot be compared with the joy and glory that awaits you
and I at the end of the journey.
The life of pleasure at all cost
and by all means leads to nowhere but eternal damnation. That is why again and
again Jesus warned us through Apostle Paul not to love the world or the things
that are in the world.
The world and everything in it will
definitely pass away. Even friendship with the world will take you nowhere but make
you an enemy of God leading to damnation.
There is a way that takes you to a
glorious eternity of joy and splendor with Christ!
To yet encourage our weary souls,
Apostle Paul tells us that the momentary affliction we are undergoing is
nothing to be compared with the weight of eternal glory that awaits us at the
end of life.
Will you endure the suffering of
Christ for this priceless eternity? Will partake of the fellowship of the
suffering of Christ so as to attain? Are you weary and almost giving up, dear
reader?
By the power that upon the spoken
word of God, I prophesy divine strength to your weary soul In Jesus Mighty
Name, Amen.
I believe I will see you in heaven.
Your friend and fellow pilgrim in
the Kingdom race,
Pastor Janet
