Hi friends,
The fact that the eternal
way is straight and narrow cannot be overemphasized but dear pilgrim we must
not under play the place of God’s grace which comes through faith on the
finished work at Calvary.
I wish to share a poem I wrote
so many years ago about this Christian race.
A living dead man
Who died over two thousand
years ago
Yet I know He lives
He was cursed that I might
be blessed.
Paid the price for my
salvation,
Jesus is His name!
Oh, thou miraculous man,
You healed my infirmities
Quelled every storm,
Mends every broken and
wounded spirit,
And satisfies every hungry
tommy with your goodness,
All in the name of Immanuel!
While I erred like a lost
sheep
Oppressed and depressed of
His mercies
Wasting and dying in torture
When sin impoverished me
Overwhelmed by the
deceitfulness of heart
He found and gently led me
to the fold!
Has any building ever existed
without a purpose and builder?
The earth, sky, seas and
stars?
Man, trees of the field and
birds of the air?
The sun by day and the moon
by night?
How does the sky hold rain?
Would these handiwork not
heed the voice and abide by the purpose
of their maker?
I sought to know this
supernatural being
But I need a path I never
knew before
Darling Jesus is the path
Divine Holy Spirit the guide
He says, the route is rough
and narrow, take care!
How I strive to know Him
better!
In my quest to know Him
A whirlwind invades my path
And once a cut on my flesh
It is worthwhile for I have
a reward with Him
Strive with me for this
glorious reward
Albeit it sounds foolish and
strange
For a reward not less than
life eternal!
Your friend and fellow pilgrim in the Kingdom race,
Pastor Janet
