Help from above

Hi friends,
I watched a Christian film over a decade ago where the believer on her way to Canaan almost lost her foothold on the journey to heaven. Thank God for the word of God that is forever settled.
A time will always come in the life of every pilgrim and sojourner on this kingdom race when friends and loved ones seems to have failed us. Situation and circumstances will be going contrary. Too many times even the defense of money and human knowledge will become ineffective.
At such times all that the Christian Pilgrim needs to do is to look up to Jesus - the author and finisher of their faith.
I once listen to a woman preacher who said;

Anytime I look at myself I feel impressed that I have arrived.
When I look at others who have gone ahead I feel depressed.
Whenever I look around me I feel helpless;
But anytime I look up I feel encouraged.

Where do you look at for help? Whom do you look up to for help? When do you look at for help?

Hear the testimony of the Psalmist in Psalms 121:1-2

I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made the heaven and the earth.

Our God is an ever present help in the time of need and He is the only one we should look up to. Other sources of help will fail and are never permanent but God is ever with us feeling what we feel and working out all things for our good.
Your desired help is always available at your beckoning. Your help from above is only a prayer away. That sure helper is never wearied or tired of you. Call upon Him at all times and your help will be readily available.
He can and sure will help the weary pilgrimage. Just stay focused on Jesus Christ and you are sure to arrive safely at your desired haven.
God bless you richly and abundantly, amen.

Your friend and fellow Pilgrim on the Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet
