Hi friends,
Too Many times by an
act of omission or submission we discover that fellow humans or Christians
seems to poise as our enemy on this journey heaven ward. We need to have spiritual
discernment to know who the real enemy is. How do we approach this issue? Some
have even sworn that as long as they are
in power, we will never attain to any good. Is it not better to fight such to
finish? Don’t you think we need to prove our real worth and let such know who
we are? No, Sir. No,ma. There is a great weapon that has never failed
in this Christian race and that is the weapon of LOVE!
Apostle Paul tells us in his
Epistle to the Corinthian Church Chapter 13:1 -8
Though
I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity,
I am become as a sounding cymbal. And though I
have the gift of prophecy,
and understand all mysteries, and all
knowledge; and though I have all faith,
so I could remove mountains, and have not
charity, I am nothing. And though
I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and I
give my body to be burnt, and
have not charity ,it profiteth me nothing . Charity
suffereth long, and is kind;
Charity envieth not; charity vaunteh not
itself, is not puffed up.
Doth
behave itself unseemingly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked
and thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in
iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
beareth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth; but whether there
be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there
be tongues, they shall cease;
whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish
away.
Often times Christians have
mistaken love for lust. Rather than love our fellow humans and pilgrims, we
have become power hungry and drunken that anything just goes as long as I am in
power. Materialism and unhealthy competition is the order of the day. Politics
have taken over the place of spiritual leadership. We compare ourselves rather
than compliment ourselves. What a shame and slap on the face of our blessed
savior.
We are on a pilgrimage yet we have lost our road maps. We have boarded
the vehicle of faith but yet have become money- mongers and live our lives as
if we will not account to God the ultimate judge. We fight ourselves , become bitter, keep malice and tear each other. Is it not yet time to go back to
where we missed it if at all we must arrive our eternal destination? Once again,
I remind you my beloved heaven is a prepared place for a prepared
people. Make out time to measure your love meter. I mean your agape
love meter and increase it as you relate with your fellow humans. I can assure
you that heaven at last shall be your eternal reward!
Stay focused, stay rapturable and
keep the fire of your spiritual fervency burning with agape love until we meet
at the feet of the Lord.
I remain your Friend and fellow
Pilgrim in the kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet
