Hi friends,
It is quite
amazing how many of us pilgrims have resolved to a life of pretense and
hypocrisy as we journey heavenward. Very heart- breaking is the fact that the
present day born – again christian who is tongue talking and demon casting has
chosen ways worse than the Pharisees and Sadducees during the earthly ministry
of our Lord Jesus Christ!
We want to be acceptable to God and at the
same time be a friend of the world. We want to make it to our eternal home and
yet be equally yoked with the unbeliever and embracing tightly the system of
the world. We have become so worldly that little of Christ is left in the
present day believer. My brethren how do we make it home with such pretense?
To have a
better understanding of what many of us christians do as we journey home, I
have decided to share a poem from titled “Not Style but Life”
The styles
of my Jesus:
So beautiful
and admirable to all;
So
acceptable and appreciable to some;
So acceptable
and allowable to yet a few;
Oh, what a
pity!
The styles
of my friend and lover:
So
practicable but not practical to all
So practical
but not pleasant to all;
So
practiseable and pleasant to but a few;
Oh, what a
shame!
The styles
of my Lord and savior;
So odd on
the few who accept it;
So awful and
irritating on the few who practice it
So worthless
and unfulfilling to the few who think it pleasant;
Oh, what a
stab in the heart of my Lord!
The styles
of my master and Redeemer:
Will bring
“reproach” to the best of its users;
Will stain
and wrinkle the best of priestly garments;
Will
truncate the best of destinies;
Christianity
is not just the styles of Christ but the LIFE OF CHRIST!

Dear friend,
reconsider your ways and repent from your heart of whatever unrighteousness
your life might be portraying so you can portray the ultimate image of our Lord
and Saviour who will Judge both the quick and the living at His appearing.
Your Friend
and Fellow Pilgrim in the Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet
