Hi friends,
Today I will like to share with you an understanding I have
received from the greatest Psalm I have ever encountered in the Holy book which
is the Pilgrim’s manual. I will like to share with you so we can learn the
secret of absolute trust in the Almighty God who is the Lord of the way.
The Psalm I will like
to share with you has its root in Psalm 23. It is Simple but absolutely powerful
because it covers the pilgrim’s all round need. Please, do not lose focus of
this scripture as we learn together to trust God to keep us safe on this
heavenly race.
To further give us a better understanding Jesus during his
earthly ministry told his disciples in John 10:2-3. 11
But
he that entereth in my the door is the shepherd of the sheep;
To Him the porter openeth and the
sheep hear his voice; and He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them
out------------------------
I am the good shepherd ; the good shepherd
giveth his life for you sheep.
My dear pilgrim have you ever studied carefully the life of
the shepherd with regards to sheep? It is so wonderful that a shepherd could
afford to lay down his life for the sheep. May be the recent attacks of the
Fulani Herdsmen of Nigeria in West Africa could help us understand this better
if you are privileged to witness one.
Do you hear the voice of the arch bishop of your soul as He
daily leads you on this pilgrimage? In case you do not hear His voice , you
need to cultivate that habit because He is the only one that will not lead you
astray on this straight and narrow way.
It is also possible
that at one point or the other you have listen to the voice of a stranger, I
mean the devil and your voice of your
flesh. It is very possible to come back to your Lord and maker. He is waiting
with open arms to receive you back to Himself. Infact He is eagerly waiting to
have you back home and be in His hands.
Do not forget that one of the symbol of true sonship in
God’s Kingdom is your ability to hear and listen to His voice. Another litmus
test is the ability to resist the voice of a stranger. You must up a strong
resistance against these enemies of your
soul. Jesus was encouraging about the extend of this resistance when He told us
in the scripture and I will like to
paraphrase it that until now we have not resisteth to the point of
blood.
Come back to the one
who loves you with a greater love than anybody else could and you will arrive
safely at your desired haven in Jesus name. Do not be lured by your arch enemy
any longer no matter how juicy his baits and schemings may be.
Come back to the one whose sole ministry is to destroy the
works of the evil one ever your life. It is He who has made provision for your
all round well being. That is why He could boldly say
The
thief cometh not , but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
But I am come
that ye may have life, and have it more abundantly.
God bless you friends as we journey another day of unwaivering
faith in Christ Jesus.
Your Fellow Pilgrim and companion in the Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet.
