Today we will be examining a very important aspect of our daily lives which we tend to give little or no attention to on this christian journey. More often than not we could spend most of our time searching for money, fame, audience, friends and so on but we forget the primary aspect of our christian race is to seek the kingdom of God. Matthew 6:33 says
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness', and every other thing shall be added unto you.
The Kingdom of God is the whole essence of out being.Our life, home, ministry, career pursuit, business and so on should all be geared at expanding the Kingdom of our God. Too many times we set our hearts to building of mansions and empires for ourselves. We labour and toil for things that are of mundane value at the essence of things that have eternal value. We seek fame , good social status, money, professionalism, knowledge and so on but forget to fulfill this divine mandate of building God's kingdom.
Our will . our ambition and our desires comes first while God's come last. Beloved Pilgrim and sojourner, we ought to grow beyond this level of living for ourselves to growing into the totality of God by becoming a Kingdom seeker.
To seek simply mean to look for or desire desperately.
It is even of more deeper meaning than to look for. Jesus told us in the parable of the lost coin to help us understand what it means to seek for when he told us how the old woman lighted her candle and searched everywhere until she found the lost coin. I donot know where you stand at this moment but let me announce to you that it is only kingdom seekers that will make it to Canaan at last.
