No crown without cross!

Hi friends,
It seems that as Christians, we tend to forget certain truths about life which have a direct bearing on our heavenly race. We seem to forget that there is no crown without a cross, No prize without a price, no gain without pain.

 It was with this understanding in mind that Apostle Paul said  for me to live is Christ and to die is gain . He furthers said he had fought the good fight of faith hence  crown was laid up for him. We must bear it in mind that this momentary affliction is nothing to be compared  with the eternal weight of glory that awaits us when we get to our eternal Home.

Please join me as we sing the old rugged cross to admonish our spirits;

On hill far way, stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame,
And I love that old cross, where the dearest and the best;
For a world of lost sinners was slain,

chorus
So I cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down.
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for  crown.

Oh, the old rugged cross, so despised by the world
Has a wondrous attraction for me,
For the dear lamb of God left his glory above,
To bear it to the dark Calvary.

In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty, I see,
For twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and bled,
To pardon and sanctify me.

To the old rugged cross , I will ever be true,
It's shame and reproach gladly bear,
Then He will call me someday, To my home far away,
Where His glory forever I'll share.

The believer's level of accomplishment in life and ministry is determined by the price he places on what he finds himself doing. Since you accepted Christ,' what has your salvation cost you'. If nothing then you are yet to begin the Heaven bound journey. Let us endeavour to journey with the ultimate prize of eternal life in view and we would have a smooth sail in Jesus mighty name.

Your friend in the Kingdom Race,
 Pastor Janet
