Today, I will still be speaking To singles who seems to be at verge of giving up on this pilgrimage. There is still a purpose why God has blessed you with singleness and I trust God that you will discover the purpose in Jesus. Until I did, I was never settled maritally but immediately I did God changed my status. He is at work to change yours too. Today's write up is an introduction to my book titled 'Single for greatness'. I trust God to use it to bless and admonish everyone of us that are in Gods waiting room.
The single life for the unmarried is a most challenging time especially when the individual is of marriageable age and there seems not to be any meaningful 'marital relationship and worst still when there is no any eligible person on the horizon. Friends and relation begin to raise eyebrow and sometimes jump to unreasonable conclusions. The believers and unbelievers alike begin to ask questions, such as 'why me, Lord?'. They begin to examine and re-examine themselves. This crucial time is the time that we need to ask ourselves what does the word of God say concerning the single christian life. What should the believer do or not do? How much longer does he or she have to wait before the right person comes. The first question 'why me, Lord?' will be answered in this discussion while the other series will give an answer or atleast a clue to the other probing questions that might be passing through your heart.The answer to the first question is that God has destined you to be great as a single person and until you attain to that greatness God will fold his hands and be looking at you. You cannot afford to be a mediocre because of your state of singleness, You are too important in Gods program!
