Today I will want to speak to our single christian pilgrims who think that they have been forsaken by God because they are single. May I admonish you, my dear single that it is not a curse that you are single. As marriage is a blessing, so also is single life a blessing from our loving God!
Your singleness could be as a result of not having a marriage partner despite being of a age or having a failed marriage despite all your efforts to keep your home but God is not unaware of your plight.He knows and He cares so much about you. You are not less than your married contemporaries.In God's agenda you are still very important!
Hebrews 13:5-6 says, Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have; For He hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee, so that ye may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
God is mindful of every of His children whether single or married,divorced, widowed, poor or rich, educated or illiterate or even if they don't fall into any of these categories. He still places his seal of ownership on them. It is quite amazing that despite the fact that of the word of God is very explicit concerning singles: whether male or female, the society and most painfully the church has some reservation concerning singles!
Based on experiences I have had as a single lady in ministry, I will be sharing some of these Biblical insights I have acquired as a single sister and how the Lord in His infinite mercies, saw me through these trying moments and enabled me to overcome the redundancy most singles have in being active in God's service. I trust that this write up will be a blessing and an encouragement to every believer especially the single sisters out there.Celebrate your singleness!
