Hi friends,
The heavenly pilgrimage we have embarked on is such that we
cannot but seek divine assistance if at all we want accomplish God’s purpose
here on earth and gain heaven as our eternal reward.
This divine assistance has been an issue of much concern that
some supposed pilgrims and even the entire human race have crossed to the other
side of the divide while the scriptures gave us its recommendation.
Psalms 91:1-2 says something very profound and I quote.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of
the most high shall abide
under the shadow of the Almighty. I will
say of the Lord, He is my
refuge and my fortress: my God, in him will I
trust.
The secret place is simply the sure way to success,
accomplishment and fulfilment in life, family and ministry. Many pilgrims have
missed this mystery of the secret place and have ended up living as chickens
rather than divine eagles!
A secret place is simply a place not seen or meant to be known by others.
a Secret place is also a
place kept or meant to be kept unknown or unseen by others.
The secret place is a place of deep and inter-personal
relationship with God. It is the place sustained and kept my prayer and
devotion to the author and finisher of your faith. It is a place preserved by
covenant and sacrifice.
The secret place is a place the pilgrim’s spirit
interacts with its maker and creator. It
is the place where altars are built with incense and sacrifices burnt to the
Master and Lord of the entire universe. It is the place of divine exchange and
spiritual interaction.
It a secret place because it should not be known to
any except the pilgrim and his saviour.
It should only be known by the results it produces in the life of the
dweller. It is the place where the believer’s confidence and purpose is aligned.
Little wonder, the Psalmist said he would say of the Lord He is his refuge and fortress only after he has abided in the secret place. When a genuine believer wants to boast, it should be because he has dined and wined with the Lord of the earth in the secret place.
Friends and fellow pilgrims, I admonish you to consciously,
deliberately and intentional cultivate the lifestyle of communion, devotion and
intimacy with our Lord and saviour until we meet at the golden city of the New
Jerusalem.
Your friend and
fellow Pilgrim in the Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet
