I Love You

Hi friends,

On this eternal highway, many pilgrims have lost their bearing because they have forgotten that it is a journey of love towards God and fellow humans. I am obliged to remind us what the Almighty God says about you.

The book of Isaiah chapter 43: 4 says,

Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable,

and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people

for thy life.

The truth about this pilgrimage is that it is a love relationship between God and  humanity. It is about the lover wooing his beloved and wanting to be sure that His love is reciprocated.

Many who have not really understood God to that point even query the book of Ecclesiastes in the scriptures but it is a replica of God’s love to us. It is this understanding that has kept me rooted in Christ.

Job had this same understanding so much so that through his many trials and woes he said, ‘though He slay me yet will I trust Him’. Peter was lacking in understanding or do I say confused? Until Jesus asked him if he loved him more than this.

It is very possible that Jesus is asking you and I the same question because all we want from the Lord of this highway is bread, butter and fish. It is also possible that all you ask of my Jesus is fame, money, wealth and pleasure.   

In the above scriptures the Lord is saying you are precious in His sight and that is the reason He loves you. He proved this love throughout the New Testament when He came to live and die for you in the person of Christ.

Jesus during His earthly ministry said, greater love has no man than this, that a man should lay down his life for his friends. Every challenge and trial you encounter on this pilgrimage is to prove your love for God. Why give up?

If you and I truly love this God the best way to express it is by sharing the gospel of Jesus with other fellows who might not have had that salvation experience and showing agape love in our daily dealings with other people.

Each time I remember that I am precious to God, I am the apple of His eyes, He has engraved me in the hollow of his palms and that He loves me I get so elated,carried away and overwhelmed by this agape love.

I love the Lord passionately because He first loved me and gave Himself for me. I love him because He redeemed me. I love my God because He has prepared a home for me in heaven and will come and take me to be with Him forever.

Do you love Jesus? Have you ever asked yourself why are on this pilgrimage? Are you assured of His love enough to share this good news with others? Would you like to live with Him for ever in eternity?

Keep doing the Master’s business with agape love and enthusiasm irrespective of what life throws at you till meet at the eternal shores.
