Dear friends,
As we move a step further beyond
where we were towards our eternal home, let’s not forget to bless God at all
times.
Psalm 34:1 rightly says;
I will bless the Lord at all
times : his praise shall continually be in my
mouth. My soul shall make
her boast in the Lord: the humble
shall hear thereof and be
glad.
It does not have to be good before
we remember to worship this our Almighty father. The sky does not need to be
blue and bright before we raise up holy hands in worship to the lover of our
soul.
It is not until there is more than
enough or when our bank account is fat before we remember to bow in awe of the
all sovereign God. He is the God of both the good and the bad times. The God of
the hills and of the mountains. He is
indeed God over all.
The mountains, hills, seas and the
valleys, the cattle upon the thousand hills and the silver and gold in the
crust of the earth are all His handiwork. The oceans and the fishes therein
are all known and numbered by His mighty hands.
He is the Almighty God who is in a
class of His own and just simply incomparable. He doesn’t have equal because
every other god beside Him are all idols and the works of men.
God is faithful and true to His
words and cannot be doubted or fail concerning all His promises because they
are yea and amen. This awesome and all sufficient God is simply unquestionable
and trust worthy.
The Psalmist further adds that
praising the Lord at all times is an indication that we are making our boast in
the Lord of all the earth and by this the proud will be humbled.
Are you not tired of hearing the arch
enemy of your soul, the devil roaring and seeking for how he can devour you? Have
you not seen how the heathens have continually raged over you?
The shortest and simplest way to
silence all these noise and storm of the wicked is to praise the Lord at all times and allow His praise to continually be on your lips. He is the God of all the earth, who
is able and capable to do all things and control all things because He is the custodian
of all powers.
Little wonder, the Isrealites having
witnessed the power of God demonstrated in their journey to the promised land
had to sing,
Who is like unto thee, O Lord?
Who is like unto thee, O Lord?
Amongst the gods who is like
thee?
Glorious in holiness,
fearful in praises;
Always doing wonders,
hallelujah!!
Would you please, allow this wonder
working Jesus do same for you on this kingdom highway as you choose to praise him all the time, all the day and all the way?
Till we meet at the eternal shores and gain the golden city as our reward.
Your friend and fellow pilgrim in
the race,
Pastor Janet
