Hi friends,
There is a possibility that with the
hustles and bustle of a new year fast approaching anxiety might want to
overtake our hearts over one issue or the other but I will want to encourage us
to look beyond ourselves at the one who is the source of our being.
Father Abraham, the hero of faith
was at such a point having waited for God’s promise of a child for about
twenty- four years. His heart was already growing weary when the Almighty God
spoke to him from the scriptures below.
In Genesis 17:1-3, the Lord spoke expressly thus,
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared
to Abram, and said unto him, I am
the Almighty God; walk before me,
and be thou perfect. And I will
make my covenant between me and
thee, and will multiply thee
exceedingly. (KJV)
It is possible that you and I are
at a cross road. It is even possible that you are almost giving up thinking
that God has deceived you like Jeremiah exclaimed in one of his writings.
Listen to me dear friend; far be it
for the strength of Israel to lie!
He is the Almighty God and by Him
all things both the things which are visible and the invisible ones consist. He
does not fail nor lie. He does not change neither is He limited by time or any
other factor.
He is God and beside Him there is
no other. He knows the way through your wilderness and He can move your
mountains. He can give His angels charge over you because He is unquestionable.
Why not choose to walk before this Almighty
God in Spirit and Truth? Why not walk before Him in righteousness and
uprightness so he can establish an unending covenant with you?
Why not look up to Him who is the
author and the finisher of your faith so that can prove His Strength in your
weaknesses and His wisdom in your folly as the world would say?
He is the ageless and matchless
God. He is the creator of the heavens and the earth. He calls those things which
are not as though they were. He can rewrite your history. He can change your situation
and circumstances.
Without mincing words, I can assure
you that in the year ahead He has good and wonderful plans for you and all that
pertains to you.
He is able to wipe away all tears
and give the oil of gladness in the place of heaviness. He can give you beauty
for your ashes. He can deliver you from that captivity.
Trust Him all the way on this Pilgrim’s
highway. You are sure of a safe landing on the shores of our eternal home.
God bless you richly and bountifully until we reach our home.
Your friend and fellow Pilgrim on this Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet.
