Hi friends,
Another reminder is coming to us
today to remind us of an eternal home that awaits us at the end of this
journey. An eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven for ever and ever.
What a glory. Halleluyah!
As we journey along this high way
there is a possibility that we might begin to desire to have the best of this
world which in itself is not wrong but having it at all cost and at all times is
what God frowns at.
Little wonder time and time again,
He reminds us by His word not to love the world or the things that are in the
world. The things of this world are too temporal for us to set our affection on
them.
There is a provision that Heaven
makes available to all her own and the Bible tells us in James 1:17 that
Every good
gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh
down from the Father of lights, with whom is
no variableness,
neither shadow of turning.
Any and every good gift you can
ever think or imagine comes from our God and father. He is the originator of
every good thing. He is the giver that is never tired of giving His children
the best of everything.
In fact He gives liberally and does
not upbraid. At the opening of God’s hand the Bible said the whole of creation
were satisfied with His goodness. He is such an embodiment of good that he
tempts no man with evil!
Little wonder He said, He knows the
thoughts He thinks towards you and I. Thoughts of good and not evil. Thoughts of peace and not trouble. Just to bring
you to your expected end.
He has so much of every good thing
of life that His giving you and giving you abundantly does not make Him poorer
or richer. He can choose to endow you with so much of His goodness that people
will begin to wonder.
As much as He has all goodness at
His beckon, He can decide to use channels which He alone chooses. He is a
wonderful God, who is always working wonders. His ways are just past human
findings.
Re- arrange your priorities of
seeking good things but rather choose to seek the giver all these good things
of life. You are bound to have the best as He becomes your life’s number focus.
God bless you richly and bountifully out of
Zion.
Your friend and fellow Pilgrim in the Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet
