Hi friends,
Over two and half decades ago while were just freshers at the University, a beloved friend of mine told me as we were taking a stroll that night that she had seen a beautiful baby earlier in the day and that made her feel like getting married immediately and having a beautiful baby like that. That sounded irrational for me so I advised her to wait for the right time. About a decade later, my friend had her first son and you could imagine what she told me as she arrived from the hospital. Despite the fact that I was feeling greatly sorry for her because of the pains she was still going through and how helpless and tired she looked. She said, ‘Janet, do you know why I love my son so much?’ I asked her why. She said, ‘He is a beautiful baby boy’. I smiled to myself. I was just seeing a little helpless creature that had made my friend go through nine months of discomfort and looking so fragile I wouldn’t want to carry him but she was seeing a beautiful baby boy and I must admit to you dear reader, that ,that is exactly what he has grown up to become over the last fourteen years. A beautiful baby boy. Hmmm indeed , beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!

If a young mother could see beauty in her helpless little
boy what do you see in God? Psalm 48:1 says
Great is the Lord and greatly to
be praised in the city of our God,
in the mountain of his holiness.
Beautiful for situations,
the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion,
on the sides of the North, the city of the
great king.
In the case of this our awesome God, He is not just
beautiful to behold but beautiful in His doings and for every situation of man.
His mighty acts in life and creation are all meant to display the beauty of
this mighty God. It does not really matter to God how ugly or unpleasant your
situation is but what counts to God is His presence in bringing beauty to that
situation. He can change your ugliness to comeliness, He can change your ashes
to beauty, He can rewrite your story, He can mould your destiny and pattern
your life after His own mould. He can rebuild your shattered life, dreams and
hopes. He can make you and no man will be able to unmake you. He can build you
and no man will be able to pull you down. He can change your name and give you
a new name. He can make way for you where there seems to be no way at all. He
can fight your battles in your helplessness. He promote you and no man or being
can be able to demote you. He can provide for you in the midst of famine and He
can make oasis in your desert. He can lift you and no personality will be able
to bring you down. All powers belong in
heaven and on earth belong to Him. He can
even make a buffee for you in the presence of your sworn enemies and yet they
will be made so helpless so as to be able to do nothing about it. If only you
can wait to hear His voice concerning your situation no man / woman can say
otherwise. He is the ALMIGHTY GOD.
The beauty of our God is not to compared with any other
little wonder the Bible calls Him The Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the valleys,
the Bright and the morning Star. He indeed has no equal. He appeared in the
furnace of fire and even though the three Hebrew boys were thrown into a fiery
furnace and their persecutors where burnt by the flames emanating from the
furnace, the same became an air conditioner
for them. He appeared to a man called sorrow in the time of prayer and sorrow
became honourable. He appeared to a prostitute and a witch(Mary Magdalene) and
she became a disciple. He appeared to a man
who had been tagged a professional failure (Peter) and he became and achiever.
His presence during the storm did not allow the ship or boat of the disciples to capside or drown as they
were crossing over to the other side. His presence in the wilderness brought
abundant provision of food and water to the Isrealites on their way to Canaan. His
presence at the tomb of Lazarus brought a dead man of four days back to life.
Very ugly and stinking was Lazarus’ situation that none could stand the odour his
decaying body but my Jesus turned that situation around.
May I announce to you
my beloved PIlgrim, by the mighty hand of Jehovah God, I see a turn around , around
your life, family and ministry in Jesus Mighty Name. I see you by the wings of
grace rise from obscurity to limelight in Jesus mighty name. Enough is enough
to sorrows and limitations in your life. Rise now as you choose to embrace the
beauty of this our God in and out of every situation. You wont fail, you faint
and you will not falter In Jesus mighty name.
As I see another level of beauty coming upon your life and I
see you rising higher than you could ever imagine . You are the best of your
kind and nobody but you! God bless you richly as we hold each others hands to
journey together Heavenward.
Your friend and fellow Pilgrim in the kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet
