Guide my ways

Hi friends,

It is another new day. our Heaven ward journey is lesser by a day but yet it seems as if all I could do was gaze at my ceiling, count the seconds, minutes and the hours as they go by. What exactly do I do?

I had woken up early enough and made by plans for the day. I had my bath, took my breakfast and gotten dressed for my place of business but then all of a sudden I became very weak, weary of life and having this feeling of hopelessness and depression. What can I do?

I tried to watch a move since my employees were already in the office but alas power supply failed. I put a call through to my closest friend to see if I could book an appointment to talk things over with her latter in the day but every attempt failed. I called my pastor but he was out of town and would not be back until late Saturday evening and he can only see after service on Sunday but that will be too late for me. What can I do?

Then as I sat helpless and hopelessly as it were I had a still small voice whispered to me 'Have you prayed today?' I told myself never mind I have always been a prayerful person so just a day of not praying should not mean so much but honestly I still could not just get myself to think straight. As I paced up and down my small apartment all of a sudden it was as if a force pushed down on my knees and all I could tell my saviour and friend is GUIDE ME IN ALL MY WAYS!

For twenty minutes I poured out my heart and it was as if each word I said lifted up one burden. By the end of my prayers, I felt so very light. I felt so strong that it was as if I could confront a Goliath. The depression was gone and the feelings lifted. Halleluyah!

Have you prayed today Have you told Jesus what no man has time to listen to, yet so burdensome in your heart. He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother and is never too busy to give you his ear or tired to give you direction. All you need for each is to say GUIDE MY WAYS!
