Hi friends,
On this eternal pilgrimage, we must live and appreciate the
fact that the Almighty God is the only one who preserves and is ever willing to
preserve us from all evils and challenges of this Kingdom highway if we will
allow Him.
The book of Psalms
121: 7- 8
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall
preserve thy soul.
He shall
preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time
forth, and even for evermore
To
preserve means to treat to prevent its
decomposition or spoilage.
It
also means to maintain in its original or
existing state.
From the above scripture, we are able to imply that it is an
issue of responsibility and compulsion for God to keep and preserve His own.
Infact in another part of the scripture it says, He who watches over you never sleeps nor slumber!
Human beings use salt to give taste to food item and preserve
it from spoilage and decay. God has given you of His Holy Spirit to keep,
guide, teach and led you so you can be preserved.
In His awesome wisdom, the believer is given the Bible which
can be likened to a road map so you don’t miss your bearing in life. Little
wonder, the Bible commands us that this
book of the law shall not depart from your mouth.
The all loving God did not just stop there, He went further
to give Himself in the person of Christ as the propitiation for your sins. He further
gave us the word of assurance that, I
will be with you always!
The omnipotent cannot but preserve us so that the people of
this world may learn to fear and reverence Him. He will keep us from the scourging
sun and raging storms of life because you are too important to His eternal
agenda.
He will keep you and help in spite of the snares of men and the
corruption of this world so that He alone can take the glory for your life and
that His divine purpose may find expression in this your mortal flesh.
To enjoy God’s grace of preservation you must make Him Lord
of your life as you seek do His will daily and continuously. You must submit yourself
continuously to His divine words and instructions as stipulated in the Bible.
Friends and fellow pilgrims, I admonish you to ask and seek
for this endless and grace for until we meet at the golden city of the New
Jerusalem.
