Hi friends,
Too many pilgrims on the kingdom High way tend to forget that
there is a God in Heaven who is also the Lord and the master of this kingdom
High way who would always stand to defend the integrity of His name and word at
every point in time T.
We need to constantly and continuously remind ourselves of
the so many promises that He has made for all His children who are on this very
highway of Holiness. About this promises his word tells us they are yea and
amen in Christ Jesus. About His Word we are told that the Lord has exalted His
word much more than His name. Hallelujah to Jesus!
The proper understanding of His Word is what gives a believer
an edge over another. It was that same understanding of His word its
infallibility that the prophet of God Elijah stood upon on Mount Camel at His
conquest with prophets of Baal.
It was the understanding of the word of God as the man of war
and the captain of the host of Israel that the teenage boy David had to make
him challenge Goliath to a battle.
The understanding of God as a God who answers prayers made
Elijah send a message to the king of Israel to announce the shutting and
opening of the heavens for rain during his lifetime. God Almighty honored those
words.
For every pilgrim there might be some situation and even
individuals who deliberately or otherwise are asking where is your God too? May
be some would even dare you to face because as far as they are concerned you do
not have a God to stand for you.
Dear friends, such times are never times to begin to weep,
wail, lament or even run from pillar to post. They are times to look up to
heaven and call on that same God who answered Elijah by fire.
In times of troubles and challenges, God answers instantly
and powerfully like He did when Moses called upon him in the land of Egypt. Can
you also remember how he responded promptly by parting Jordan when the sons of
the prophet mocked Elisha? May I also call to your remembrance how he feed five
thousand adults with five loaves of bread and two fishes when some disciples
complained to Jesus that there was no means of feeding the hungry crowd?
Seems we have forgotten too soon how he raised Lazarus from
the dead after four days of being dead and buried as decay was already setting
in. Maybe I should remind us once again how He healed the boy with the deaf and
dumb spirit by speaking just a word.
This few years I have spent on earth as a believer who is heaven
bound, I have seen too much of God’s power and faithfulness that I cannot but
admit that our God is powerful and indeed with Him nothing shall be impossible.
I dare you to throw back those challenges, opposition and
difficulties back to Him right at the foot of the cross. I encourage you to
focus on Jesus who is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
Forget the opposition and its size. Ignore the mockeries and
the mockers. Do not bother yourself about the height of the mountain or the
depth of the valley. Turn away from those cloud of witnesses and focus on Jesus
who is the author and finisher of your faith.
With Jesus at the center of it all I can assure you that the center
will hold, the mountains will move, the shouts of victory will sound and the
Goliaths will be slain. Your heavens will still pour rain after the drought and
there will be abundance after every famine.
Stay focused because our salvation is closer now than when we
first believed. Have faith because that is the only bridge across your troubled
wares to the other side where miracles, healings and victories awaits you.
Stay blessed and remain rapturable till we meet at the gates
of golden city of the heavenly Jerusalem.

and fellow Pilgrim in the Kingdom Race,

ReplyDeleteIn fact, this past week the Lord's impression upon my heart to continue seeking His strength (amidst daily 'uncertainties' of the times we live in), - 1 Chronicles 16:11, Psalms 28:8, 29:11.
This is a timely Word.
