Hi friends,
It is an aberration from the
written word of God that a genuine child of God should live and die in abject
poverty. More so is the doctrine of it being difficult for a rich man to enter
into the kingdom of God.
Poverty in its real sense is
inability to be able to meet daily needs or inability to make supplies for ones
needs. It does not in any way connote
holiness or prosperity neither does it depict right standing with God.
Our heavenly father said in the
book of Zachariah 1:17,
Cry yet
saying ,thus saith the Lord of hosts; my cities through
prosperity
shall yet be spread abroad; and the
Lord shall
yet comfort
Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem
The issue of prosperity for the heaven minded
believer has been a very controversial issue for so many decades until of
recent. Prosperity in its true and biblical sense does not only connote material
affluence but even in the soul.
By implication the issue of
prosperity starts and ends in the mind. Little wonder the Bible buttresses this
by saying that as a man thinks in his heart so is he. If a man is to be
prosperous at all, the first thing that needs to change is his thought.
The desire of God for you and I, my
dear fellow pilgrim, is that we proper even as our dear souls prosper. That is
the greatest desire of God for us as we journey on this kingdom high way.
True and godly prosperity comes to
the believer in either of the following ways:
i.
Through inheritance
ii.
Through inherent talent or spiritual giftings
iii.
Through ideas that are divinely inspired
iv.
Through godly and goodly associations
v.
Through hard work and working wisely
True riches and prosperity will empower you here on earth to
preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in every nook and crannies of the earth. It
will make you speak and people will have no choice but to listen.
True and heavenly given prosperity will make you be a
blessing to everyone you encounter on this side of eternity. You can bring
smiles to weeping faces, food to the hungry, hope to the hopeless and above all
life to a dying world through divine prosperity.
Jesus read a scripture from Isaiah 61 during his earthly
ministry as he wanted to define His purpose and ministry. He said the spirit of
the Lord was upon Him because He has anointed Him. Anointed Him for What?
To comfort those who mourn in Zion, to proclaim liberty to
the captives, to give the oil of gladness for the spirit of heaviness, to bring
men out of captivity, to preach the good news to the meek and proclaim
acceptable year of the Lord.
In addition to any and all of the
above list of how true prosperity comes to the believer is the place of divine
watering which I also call heavenly blessings. When God Almighty blesses a man
no power on earth can hinder the individual’s prosperity.
Stay truly blessed, richly and
divinely prospered on this Kingdom highway as we await the Lord’s second coming.
Your friend and fellow Pilgrim in the Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet
