Hi friends,
As we journey heavenward, it is only
necessary we remind ourselves that there are different times and seasons in
this life and interesting enough life is full of ups and downs.
Sometimes ago I was going through a
very challenging situation and I was wondering why some of the people around
could ever doubt the authenticity of my Christian faith, stand and beliefs.
On one of those days as I was taking
a walk, the Lord dropped this scripture in my heart and I think it will
encourage you too, my dear pilgrim. The Holy Spirit ministered 2 Timothy 2:19 to
my heart;
Nevertheless the foundation of the God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that
are his. And let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
And He said to me, ‘ The Lord knows His own’! The reality of that
scripture came upon my heart as if I have never read it before. It enlightened
me.
As that word dropped in my heart I found so much peace and assurance in
the fact that I am sure my God knows me. Much more than any man or woman can
ever know me.
He knows my yesterday, He knows my today
and even my tomorrow. He knows my weaknesses and strengths. He knows my past
and my future. He knows the authenticity of my faith and absolute trust in Him. There is absolutely nothing hidden from His sight.
Does God Know you? Can He boast about you like He did about Job. Can He recommend you like He recommended Abraham? Can He defend you when men and the devil rise up against you like He defended Moses?
Enough of the claims many of us as Christians make about knowing
Jesus Christ. Does He know you as an acquaintance, mere friend or an intimate
friend?
A life without Jesus is a life without focus and direction. A
life without a genuine relationship with our Lord and master is a wasted
venture and what our beloved preacher called Vanity upon Vanity.
Today, my Lord Jesus wants a very close and intimate relationship
with you so He can know you well enough to preserve your life here on earth and
in eternity.
Will you like to take a closer walk with my Jesus?
God bless your dear heart as you respond positively to Him.
May He by His Spirit grace your steps as you move closer to the eternal shores.
Your Friend and fellow Pilgrim in the Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet
