Hi friends,
As we view eternity at a closer range, I will want to
remind you that it is high time we rise up to possess the gates of our enemies.
May be you have been so relaxed and unperturbed about
too many issues of life.
In the book of Judges 16:2-4, the Bible records the account
of Samson, who made a trip to a foreign land and only for his enemies to
compass him and lay in ambush waiting for him.
And it was told the Gazites, saying,
Samson is come hither.
And they compassed him in, and laid
wait for him all night
in the gate of the city, and were
quiet all the night, saying,
In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill
him. And Samson
lay till midnight, and arose at
midnight, and took the doors
of the gate of the city, and the two
posts, and went away with
them, bar and all, and put them upon
his shoulders, and carried
them up to the top of an hill that is before
Hebron.
It is possible that every effort you have made at
getting something better out of life has always being work done in futility and
all you have decided to do is to resort to fate. I want to remind you that
there are enemies at the gates who have built spiritual strongholds against
your life and destiny that you must uproot.
May I also remind you that in this same way the devil- your
arch enemy is ways encompassing you and laying ambushes against you and your
God ordained destiny even when you are unaware.
Little wonder, we are enjoined further in the scriptures on
the need to be sober and vigilant because, the enemy of our salvation walks and
roams about seeking for whom he may destroy, and there is urgent need to resist
him steadfastly.
Samson by the enablement of the HolySpirit, did something
that was quite amazing. He rose up at their own unguided hours to possess the
gates of his enemies.
He didn’t just stop there, he uprooted it with the bar and
all that can make the gate to be replaced.
The devil does not pity anyone not even you. His threefold
mission is to kill, steal and destroy. His motto is total destruction and a
fight to finish. The battle you fight halfway today will go and re-enforce
against you in the future.
Ask the Lord to anoint you for total and complete victory
against every battle as you journey on this high way.
It is high time you rise up to the challenge against you and
everything called God in your life. You cannot afford to die cheaply in the
hands of your enemies. You are too defended to be a victim. You are too
equipped to be a prey.
