Hi friends,
When my daughter was a little girl, she taught me a song she learnt during her nursery school graduation that
taught me a very great lesson as a Christian Pilgrim and I will just want to
share it with us. The song goes thus;
When I was just a little girl, I asked my mother what would I be:
Would I be rich? Would I be poor? Guess what she said to me---- ;
Oh, Sarah, Sarah, the future is hard to see.
Whatever will be, will be!
My daughter sang the song so well with demonstrations that aught my attention that could not but learn the lyrics
May be as a Christian Pilgrim, the situation of
life has taken you to a level where you have to resign to fate like my daughter’s
song that ‘whatever will be will’. Can I tell you something the scriptures said
affirmatively? Jeremiah 29:11
For I know
the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,
"Plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans
to give you
hope and a future”. (N.I.V)
Humanly speaking we might agree
with my little girl's song but for the Christian sojourner who has being made supernatural
by the grace of God, God says He knows the plans He has for you.
As loving as Sarah mother in my
baby’s song was, she had to console the
little girl with the fact that the future is hard to see but without mincing I can
tell you that with Christ by your side and Him on your side you can see the
future through His word that is forever settled.
He has assured us from Jeremiah 29
:11 that His plans for us are of good not to harm us, His plans are to prosper
us (particularly at a time like this when prosperity is fast eroding other foundational
doctrines in the body of Christ).
The future of every true child of
God is bright, prosperous and glorious. It is a life of longevity and good
health for the Pilgrim. It is a future where you are kept and preserved from all evil
or harm as long as Jesus is at the center of it.
IT IS A FUTURE THAT CAN BE SEEN THROUGH THE EYE OF FAITH!
Where your human strength cannot
carry you, the favor of the Lord will speak for you. Where doors have been closed
against you, the grace of God will flung them wide open. Where wickedness seems
to be prevalent the mercy of Jehovah will put an end to the wickedness over your
life and destiny.
Hold on brother, hold on sister.
Your Miracle is just around the corner and Heaven at last shall be your eternal
reward. God bless you immeasurably!
Your friend and fellow Pilgrim in
the Kingdom Race,
Pastor Janet.
