A lesson on Faith

Hi friends,

I will like to share a personal experience of mine with you and trusting the Lord to use it to encourage our hearts at this very crucial time and season. It is a Lesson on faith

Sometimes ago, I was very anxious about a very pressing need I had. After reading this write up, you will agree with me that it was a very pressing need indeed considering Abraham Maslow theory,

As at that time, I was working with a particular organization and needed to be promoted which I was over- due for.

So I filled some forms as required but couldn’t get my immediate boss to endorse it for reasons I could not explain. I had a good relationship with my boss and his family, I had enjoined favours from him before now.

His wife had promised me and even congratulated me well ahead but I could not get a reassuring word from my boss to make me be at peace, neither were his office staff saying anything to me. So what exactly must have gone wrong?

Without his endorsement, the management would not honor my application and that means no promotion for me.

For several years, I trusted God that the Lord would touch the heart of my boss but it seems a fruitless exercise.

When the last opportunity I had came , like never before, I went to my boss and could not still just get an assurance from him, so I resolved to try other means which might have impaired my relationship with him entirely if he latter discovers.

In my desperation I spoke to my father in the Lord and he told me,” Sister, you have to trust God that your boss will respond positively even if his words were not reassuring enough. TRUE FAITH NEVER FAILS!

That rang a bell in my inner ear and mind. I had taught on faith severally and achieved quite a number of feats with my little faith. But why does it seem not to be working for me now?

 I submitted my anxiety and worries to God and had an overwhelming peace from the Lord. I preached to myself again and again.  I had learnt a new lesson on faith

What exactly is this faith?

Hebrews 11:1

                                    Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence of things not seen.

It was a hard lesson but a timely one. You and I cannot do or achieve anything for the Lord or of Kingdom value until we work by faith simple as it sound but faith is also in levels!

The only way to please God on this pilgrimage is to live, walk and work by faith.  

Getting to heaven our eternal abode is by faith. I once over heard two Christians discussing and one was pleading with the other to have a rethink about his decision because of heaven. The other supposed Christian answered him, ‘Which heaven? Is it not until we get there”.

What a shame!

Little wonder, Apostle Paul further admonishes us in Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he

 That cometh to God must believe that he is, and that

he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

 Beloved there are a lot of promises yet unclaimed in this our sojourn. There are many victories still yet to be worn. There are so many souls still out there we must win to Christ before His second coming. There are still yet so many crowns we must wear at the coming of the Lord!

All of these can only be possible if we choose to walk by faith!

Beloved if we ever need anything now more than ever, we need FAITH.
